Kingston Women's Institute


Kingston WI meets on the first Thursday of each month (except for August and Christmas) at 7:30 pm in the Parish Hall. The following will be taking place during 2015:
  • Thursday - 8th January - The WI Archives with Anne Stamper
  • Thursday - 5th February - The First World War and its Music with Peter Pyemont
  • Thursday - 5th March - Clayton Tunnel North Portal with David Porter
  • Thursday - 2nd April - St John Ambulance - First Aid Course with Marita Edwards
  • Thursday - 7th May - Resolutions meeting (and possibly Anne Stamper with the WI archives as she was ill in January) - this will be at the school
  • Thursday - 4th June - NFWI AGM streamed to the Pavilion - this will be during the daytime
  • Thursday - 4th June - Rudyard Kipling; his remarkable life with Gary Enstone - this will be during the evening
  • Thursday - 2nd July - Summer Soiree - at the Pavilion
  • Saturday - 8th August - Village Tea and Craft Market (to celebrate 100th Anniversary of the WI) - at the Pavilion
  • Thursday - 3rd September - Wine Tasting and Pudding Evening
  • Thursday - 1st October - Patients' Voices in the NHS with Alan Keys
  • Thursday - 12th November - Annual Business Meeting
  • Friday - 11th December - Christmas Party


Various activities take place during the year, such as
  • Weekly Pilates
  • Fortnightly Tap Dancing
  • Monthly Walks
  • Bi monthly Book Group
  • Singing Group meets and performs regularly
