Maria and Peter Bermingham, in conjunction with the Parish Action Plan Steering Committee, are inviting Kingston residents
to participate in a regular Village Market, which will be held in the conservatory at Downside, the Berminghams’
house opposite the end of The Avenue, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the last Saturday of every month.
If you would like to sell any home-made produce or product, such as:
- Fruit, veg, honey, eggs
- Plants, seedlings, flowers
- Preserves, pickles, chutneys
- Drinks, eg cordial or wine
- Biscuits, cakes, bread
- Craft items, drawings, photographs or paintings
then this is your outlet!
You could also bring along any good-condition books, DVDs, videos or CDs that you would like to sell, as we wish to
encourage the recycling of these items.
PLEASE NOTE that this is not a jumble sale, and clothes or bric-a-brac will not be permitted. However, there will be
a notice board for advertising other or larger items for sale.
Takings will be your own, but we are aiming to raise money for the causes that the Kingston Parish Action Plan Steering
Committee is promoting on behalf of the village, currently:
- traffic calming, and
- a new pavilion on St Pancras Green.
Both of these projects require considerable funding and we hope that vendors will donate contributions towards them.
If you have any of the
above-listed items to sell, then please let fellow residents buy them!
If you have nothing to sell, come and enjoy a sociable occasion and buy wonderful goods produced in your very own village.
Refreshments (drinks and home-made cakes and biscuits) will be available. All proceeds from these will go towards Kingston
Action causes.
