In 1986 on Sunday 13th July, an event was put together on St. Pancras green called Wheelchair Aid. The aim was to raise money for a second up to date wheelchair for use outdoors by Robert Ward who had chronic spinal muscular atrophy. These wheelchairs costed £1600. The event was organised by Kingston Football Club. Here are some pictures of Robert and his friends on that very successful day.
