Kingston Tennis Club AGM 2012

Thursday 22nd March - 8:00pm, Kingston Community Pavilion

Members of the Kingston Tennis Club are warmly invited to attend the 2012 Annual General Meeting. Members will have received, where possible, an email last month about this. The principal items are the elections of the committee and Chairman for the coming season. 2011 has been an important year for the Tennis Club with the repair and resurfacing of the upper court. In his report, the Chairman will describe the new financial arrangements that have been agreed between the Kingston Parish Council and the Tennis Club for the future maintenence of the courts.

Agenda

  • Minutes of the previous AGM held on 8th March 2011
  • Matters arising from the minutes
  • Chairman's report
  • Treasurer's report
  • Election of Chairperson for the coming season
  • Election of the committee members for the coming season
  • Any other business
If you would like to be a committee member, please let Colin Finn know before the meeting.

Action and Hobbies Fair

Saturday 21st April - 1:00pm onwards, Kingston Parish Hall

This somewhat novel event will be held at the Parish hall during the afternoon. Various types of Kingston activities, hobbies and interests will be displayed, including WI, crafts, philately (Stamps), jewellery, photography, computer support, the Village Shop and hopefully much more. The entrance fee will be just £1 (children free) and you will be able to browse as long as you wish. There will also be refreshments and a sale of delicious homemade cakes. A free programme will be provided on entry.

Further details will be given in next month's Kingston News. In the meantime, if you are interested in displaying an activity or hobby in the Fair or selling something (not commercial), don't be shy - please contact Brian Simmons. Do this as soon as possible to avoide disappointment as hall space is limited.

The event is not intended as a large fund-raiser (although any net proceeds will go to the Church), but to promote the various activities and interests in the village.
